I have been wanting to set up a store to sell some of my personal work for a long time. I am excited to announce I finally had some time to set it up. The store is powered by Storeenvy. I will be printing all of the prints myself on fine art paper and canvas. View prints

Visual Supply Co finally announced it's release of their new iPhone app called VSCO Cam. There have been a lot of people waiting on this app including myself. Since the presets for Lightroom, Aperture and Adobe Camera Raw are a big hit, I was hoping for something on my iPhone that would give me similar results. I really think they nailed it.

These are from my recent shoot with actress and singer Brooklynn Jayde. This was kind of a last minute shoot. There wasn't a lot of time for planning, but I think we managed to get a few good ones.

I have been talking with Desmond for several months and today we finally got together at his studio for a quick shoot. He needed some new photos for his art show starting April 28th. It's called Generation Next and will be at the State Capital for 4 months. Try to go by if you can. We took a few shots of his work and man, there are some good paintings that will be there.

I went out to support my long time friend Jabee for his Leap of Faith art show auction. There were a lot of people that went out. I got to see some people I haven't seen in 10 years. One of best parts of the show for me was the live painting by artist Bunky Echo- Hawk. He was doing a painting of Jabee. The reference photo he happened to be using was a photo I took several years ago. I was pretty excited about that. Bunky is an awesome artist and to see something I photographed come to life in a painting was very cool.

I recently got to work with Laura Leigh. They are an up and coming duo from OKC. She and Zach Dumbleton are super cool. I have heard a few things they are working on and it sounds awesome. Watch out for these guys. I look forward to the next few shoots we have planned.

It's been a while since I have been out to a local show. I decided to go out and support local artist Josh Sallee for the release show for his new album Probable Flaws. The show was awesome and there were a ton of people. It was really cool to say hi to Privalegde and James Harden who showed up to support Josh.

Over the weekend my wife and I got invited to the Fashion In Full Bloom event hosted by NBA player Serge Ibaka. Our good friend Vernon Deas from GRPFLY Clothing provided all the shirts for the models to wear while they were getting ready for the show. The event was put on to support The Allied Arts in Oklahoma City. We got to meet and chat a little bit with Project Runway's Johnathan Kayne, Serge Ibaka, and Kevin Durant. It was also good catching up with Carolyn and Gary Goldman from Uptown Kids.

These are from my archives. They were taken last year at NAB. I took so many photos while in Las Vegas. I decided to revisit them and give them a film look using VSCO Film. I used the Kodak TRI-X preset and other adjustments to get the look I wanted.

Do you ever get in a rut or in that mode where you are just not motivated? We all get there and it’s tough to get out of it sometimes. Watching other photographers and viewing their work should inspire. For the most part it does, but when you are struggling with your own work it starts to make you upset. You start to question yourself as a photographer. I know I've done it. You just have to face it, it will always be like that. There will always be someone better at the craft you are trying to perfect.

I have been noticing several people talking (myself included) about wheather or not editing photos on your computer for Instagram is cheating. Personally, I think it is. I recently stopped following a few people because they were posting their studio shots with awesome lighting, etc. It wasn't because they were bad photographers, but I want to look at my Instagram feed full of images that were taken and edited on the phone. Isn't that the point of the app?

One of my last photo shoots of 2011 was with our friends Melissa and Whitney. I didn't really know what I was looking for except I wanted to try a few differnt lighting ideas and process the images with some different coloring. I am very pleased.

These film presets have been getting some pretty nice attention and there are several good reasons why. They allow people to quickly add a unique look to any of their images with a few clicks of a mouse and then tweak until they have exactly what they want. Using the presets as a base is just awesome. You can take your already beautiful image and transform it into something that looks like it was shot many years ago.

Last month I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Chuck Wepner. For those who don't know, he is credited as the inspiration for Rocky Balboa. He is one of the nicest people I have met in a while. His stories were awesome and he had many of them.

I have a confession to make. I have a frame hanging on the wall that has been emtpy for months (like 6 or more). It looks so out of place but I haven't found the perfect piece to put in it until now. Over the weekend I tested out the Polaroid GL10 printer along with Visual Supply's VSCO flim presets for Abobe Lightroom.

If you know me, you know I have never been much of a blogger. I really want to blog more but I seem to always get side tracked or just never find the time. Recently I have been really motivated to do more personal work. I have been talking with a few people, some photgraphers and some not. We have been talking about personal work and wanting to post more of it. A few of them have been getting on to me a little bit because they know my photography background. They know I used to do a ton of landscape and fine art macro work. They have been teling me that it's a shame that nobody ever gets to see that work.
A few days ago I commented on something Nathan Presley had posted about having thousands of photos that nobody has ever seen. I was almost to the point in which I was going to start sharing some old and new personal work. After that comment and talking with a few people, I decided it was time to get something up. Who knows how long it will last. This series was completed several years ago. It is a macro series about water drops. I have posted a few here and there but I have never posted the series all together. At this point I still don't know what to do with it. All images are for sale. Contact me if you are interested.
