Over the weekend I went out to shoot some personal work. I ended up finding a little creek and decided to play with some long exposures during the day. I took a slider thinking I might shoot some video. After shooting for a while I thought it might be cool to do a few slider shots then when the shot stopped I could take a long exposure. I was wanting to see how it would turn out in post if I blended the video and the still images. I think it turned out pretty cool. I will be trying this again very soon. This was the result.

Thursday I left with my Dad for South Dakota. We traveled to a total of 5 states in 3 days. It was a lot of fun to spend that time with my Dad. He took me to the town of Sisseton, South Dakota. The population is a little over 2500 people. It was pretty cool to see where he came from. It was a fast, cold and long trip but I enjoyed it. Here are some of my favorite images from the drive up and back. They are a mix of camera and iPhone images editid with VSCO Film.

This is the house my dad grew up in with 8 brothers and sisters.

I finally finished my first attempt at creating a handmade portfollio. I got the idea from Chris Crisman's blog. There is a lot that goes into creating a book from scratch. I am pretty happy with this first book eventhough it's not perfect. I learned several things and the next one will hopefully be better. This one has a soft cover and the next one I will attempt to make a hard cover wrapped in fabric and have more pages.

A few weeks ago I printed a set of nine prints from my iPhone. I wanted to see how they would hold up when printed. I read that you can get a solid print up to 8x8. I tested these at 4x4. I used a few different apps to edit them and I couldn't be happier. This is going to be a lot of fun printing iPhone and Instagram photos.

I have been wanting to convert my site into a responsive site so that it works on computers and mobile devices. I have been working on it between projects and I finally got it finished. I am pretty happy with it. I tweaked the design a bit too. Creating a responsive design is pretty easy. I used a pre built framework called Skeleton and Fitvids for scaling YouTube and Vimeo Videos. To see it in action just resize your browser if you are on your computer. Hope you all like the new version of my site.
